There are two films being featured during this year’s highly anticipated Newport Folk Fest. And there’s only one band featured in both films. We could not be more excited to see the feature documentary, “The Ballad of Shovels & Rope,” on Saturday night in the Newport Casino. Shovels & Rope just plain make us smile. For the seven or so minutes that they appear in our film, they’ll make you smile, too. Now imagine a full hour and a half to get to know them in depth? Chills. Get your tickets quickly, word on the street is they’re almost gone.
