Well, this happened. This past April, after the indie rock band Nirvana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Deer Tick’s John McCauley was invited to “fill in” for Kurt Cobain at a private secret show played at a small venue in Brooklyn. We wish we were there. Oh well. The memory remains. John has been touring off and on with the Deer Tick side project “Deervana,” which exclusively covers, uh, Nirvana.
